In Re: bigredwolske@blogspot.com : Did he really just say that...

This is exactly what the country is coming to. Liberals... Don't defend your life, save the offenders instead.... Don't demand compliance from someone who has/is and continues to break the law... Amazing.

We go through the same sort of thing in the prison system. Don't be too intimidating. Don't make too strong a show of force (even when necessary) because you might scare the inmate population (who raped/murdered/pilaged/terrorized/ burglarized their way INTO prison). Don't hurt anyone, even though they just hurt someone else (demonstrating the means, ability, opportunity, willingness to do so again, to you) be gentle.

Recently an officer was praised for not responding with mace or force after being punched in the face by an inmate. Our own mayjor said he did the right thing. HOW??? Next time there will be or could be a weapon involved, and someone could really be hurt, but why wait? Why give out this kind of opportunity?

Why is the public so open to the kinder/gentler? These people are not getting any kinder OR gentler. They continue to rape/kill/burglarize/terrorize in ever worsening ways. I wonder why that is. Perhaps if consequences, such as the possibility of death, or personal harm, were the norm people MIGHT just think twice. Instead lets give give give until the everyday citizen can't even walk the streets, or becomes violent and unruly because there is NO deterant.

On that note... How 'bout Tigger "slapping" that kid at Disney in 2004? (Hot in the news right now..) I've seen the video. Tigger REACTS to something. We may never know what, but he reacts to this kid DOING something to his back, and as a reflex (although I didn't know Tigger was a Navy SEAL) attempts to stop/disuade this action from occurring, and in the process his large, fluffy, soft paw grazes the kids face. Good for you Tigger! But they SUE? How is that even possible? Crazy....
