Found PV in Parsonsburg......

I talk with a guy yesterday that I found on the net who does PV systems out of Parsonsburg MD. Wow. Parsonsburg huh? He told me that the systems he does is the 'film' panels, from japan, the inverter from germany etc. etc. He claims the going rate is $10/watt. That WAY more thatn anywhere else I have seen.... So a typical 3kw system would START out at over $30,000.00. There has to be someone else doing another style of panel that is cheaper. 30 grand beats all the prices I have seen by more than $10,000.00. There are some people in Annapolis are I will contact also, I was just rather excited that someone in our area was doing this sort of thing. He also went on and on about the MD government not giving much help, where new york new jersey delaware and other states are helping by as much as 60%!! And I thought the 12 or 15% income tax incentive was pretty good! Anyways, still don't think I could actually afford one of these systems, but I am having fun with the research!

more PV power....

Here is a link to the state of MD website on PV power and its incentives. http://www.energy.state.md.us/programs/renewable
/solargrant/index.html

Apparently they ARE doing this in MD. There is an Amoco/BP station in Olney MD running PV too. The government has an innitiative called one million solar roofs. Trying to get people in bussiness and residential areas to install this technology.

I searched yesterday and found not one single company in the yellow pages for PV in this area. They must do it somewhere.... There are PV systems in Germantown, Gaithersburg, Olney, Bethesda...... Someone has to do it!

Anyway check out the website, some interesting info there!
