Ripping CD's

I was thinking about getting an MP3 player recently. I never thought I would, but I was cutting the lawn (with a push mower) with my son's CD player in my pocket.... Taking to hard of a step meant a three second delay every time....And then it dawned on me. This is how MP3 players came to existance. Some computer geek was mowing the lawn, with a CD player in his pocket, and became upset over the whole skipping issue when he blurted out " My hard drive wouldn't do this" and the MP3 was born. OK I'm not sure if that is exactly how it happened, but I'm positive it was close...

Going through all my CD's I have rethought the amount of space I would be able to use on an MP3 player. I ripped almost 30 CD's yesterday, and have more than that left to do. Would I need to carry the whole collection around, probably not. But it would be cool.

I started with BB King, and Kenny Wayne Sheperd, Ian Moore then I moved to Black label Society (4 CD"S) Megadeth (3CD's), Skynyrd, Aerosmith, Tears for Fears, Monster Ballads, Weezer, AC/DC, Hendrix, REM, Green day, G'n'R, System of a Down, Kiss, The Tragically Hip, Smashing Pumpkins, Whitesnake, War, Prince, Marley, P-Funk, Rammstein, Soular(local), Eagles, Haardvark, Tom Petty, Live, Downhere, Bloodhound Gang, Violent Femmes, Sepultera, Crossfade and Mudvayne just to name a few.... This could take forever! Some of these CD's I had completely forgotten about! And I am still finding more in boxes in the garage!.....

So maybe I don't need to carry around the whole collection. Still it would be cool...
